Operation Encompass
We are an Operation Encompass School
Here at Leasowes we believe the safeguarding of our children and families is of the utmost importance. We maintain an attitude of 'it could happen here' where safeguarding is concerned. Leasowes is part of 'Operation Encompass' which is a national scheme that operates jointly between schools and police forces.
Operation Encompass is a unique police and education early intervention safeguarding partnership, enabling support for children who have experienced domestic abuse. Operation Encompass is every child's right.
To enable Leasowes to take part in this national scheme, our Designated Safeguarding Leads are all trained in Operation Encompass as Key Adults. This enables key adults to help to protect our children and families from domestic abuse. Key Adults, following Operation Encompass procedures, receive information from the police when a child has experienced domestic abuse. This allows school to support the children and families in our care.
If you are in need of support, please do not hesitate to contact one of the designated safeguarding leads.
